hey i have a 1978 kz1000 it is stock except i have a vamce and hines pro sidewinder. i recently purchased a dyna s ignition.and im wonder what it should be set at? any help would be greatly apreciated thank you.

If you are refering to the timing, set it to the stock timing marks same as you do with points. Use a timing light, it's very simple to do.

In the picture, the lower right hand corner shows a blue tap splice, these are good when new, but add moisture & corrosion will quickly set in, making this electrical connection intermittant.
I prefer doing a solder joint connection & then covering it with heatshrink tubing. I found out the hard way how bad these splices can be by having trailer lights go out during a heavy rainstorm.
Ever try to troubleshoot electrical connection problems under a trailer on the side of the road? You don't want to go there.
