Spark plug boots was created by johnbgood
Hi Guys
I want to change out the old stock Spark plug boots and wires on my 1991 Police. Anyone know if I can just go to an auto parts place and match them for height and size? Any resistance issue?
Thanks
Johnbgood

Any good auto parts place should have plug wire by the foot, and individual terminals/boots.

The Kawasaki supplied sparkplug caps have a built in resistor that supresses the electrical noise(the snap & pop heard on radio's)
www.z1enterprises.com
sells 7mm sparkplug wires that come either with or without supression needs.
If you can find 7mm wire at the local speed shop with the attached sparkplug ends(usually in a kit), they should work fine, except if you have a radio on the bike, now you'll have an audio howl/pop/crackle when the sparkplugs fire.

Dyna plug wires come with boots built in, and are available from Z1E in solid core or suppression.

I buy separate NGK boots at the bike or auto store. Look for the lowest resistance.
