So The bike is running after 11 years of sitting in storage. I'm pretty excited about it. I checked the headlight prongs, and I have power for both low and high beams, upon closer inspection I can see both the filaments are burnt out, so its on to trying to find a new one without having to shell out 125 bucks for the oem headlight. Any ideas for a conversion to replaceable bulbs?

Do you know the diameter of the headlight bulb, 6 1/4 or 7". Many Auto Parts stores would have a replacement sealed beam. Or possibly an accessory light that would take the H4 series bulbs.

You may want to give these folks a call and see if they can recommend a reasonable replacement:

Looks like the diameter is 6 1/4" and looking on the internet I'm starting to wish it was the 7", but I'll find something soon. I'll check out hvccycle tomorrow. Thanks for your help guys, I'm just glad its finally running. made me laugh when I hit the gas on this little thing. After my last couple of bikes this one is definitely the runt.

So I made a temporary fix for the headlight in mean time, I used a pipe cutter to cut out part of the old bulb and inserted a halogen bulb, just wish i could find one with a dual filament so I would have a highbeam, but this is just temporary anyways.
