Just wondering about this? Took the cover off and they just look way to new to be from 1981? I'm not sure what the factory ones look like...figured someone might have
seen a few factory. Thanks

Yes, that looks like original pickups. Might have been replaced at some point, but as far as I can tell those are Kawasaki parts.
You have a 650 csr, right? If so, pickups (or pulsing coil, as Kawasaki calls them) from the following models would fit your application:
KZ650-H1 (CSR) (1981)
KZ650-H2 (CSR) (1982)
KZ750-E1 (1980)
KZ750-E2 (1981)
KZ750-E3 (1982)
KZ750-H1 (LTD) (1980)
KZ750-H2 (LTD) (1981)
KZ750-H3 (LTD) (1982)

They will look pretty new after 20+ years being sealed up with gasket and cover. Looks factory to me too.

One clue is the rotor style (stock metal pointer) as contrasted with Dyna'S' embedded magnet style rotor.
