Speedo Accuracy. was created by KZ1911
Hey all, how accurate are the 160mph speedos on KZ 900s.Just zipped up to 110,but it really did not seem that fast.Or maybe it just seemed that way.Whats a good and safe way of checking.

The more miles on the speedo....accuracy suffers. Brand new 160 mph kz speedos were 8% fast.

110 is probably closer to 95-100 depending on tire size

Years ago a nice Maryland State Trooper was kind enough to check my speedometer accuracy and I didn't even need to ask him to do it; it only cost me $75 and 2 points on my driving record. :pinch: Since then I've checked it a few times using the speed limit radar signs that pop up here and there in MD.

My speedo is close to 10 mph off at 60. It varies greatly, as stated, based on how many miles they have been run.
