Installing Dyna coils, need some clarity was created by purls
Okay, I'm gonna put my coils on tomorrow, and have a couple questions:
1. Mounting position - the paperwork from dyna lists several mount configurations, e.g. secondary towers pointing down and forward, etc. No position listed for 750s, and I'm thinking I should use the 650 position?
2. Polarity - even though these coils are non-polar, I'm thinking the plug wire positions should stay the same?
3.FSM schematic - am I correct in reading the coil-to-plug connections in the diagram as left being the top tower and right being the bottom? This would make the connections on my 750 n2 as follows:TL-2,BL-3,TR-1,BR-4
thanks a bunch

When mounting Dyna ignition coils, make sure the wire terminations will not contact the spacers or any part of the frame. Some riders have used heatshrink tubing as insulation for protection.
Ports up or down(where the sparkplug leads/wires go will work. Just make sure the RED wire goes to both of the coils at the same place.
The kawasaki wiring uses 1/4" push on terminations for the primary side of the coils, on the Dyna's you'll need to get 3/16" diameter ring terminals and the correct tool to crimp them.
As you sit on the seat, the cylinders are marked 1,2,3,&4. The Right coil will go to #1 and #4 with the Left coil going to #2 and #3.
These engines have a wasted spark, so it does not matter which port is used on the coils as long as the proper configuration is followed.

Thank you, sir. That gets me where I wanna be. Wasted spark...makes it easy enough.
