Need some speedo/tach suggestions was created by po boy
When I got my KZ750, the original speedo/tach unit had been removed and someone had put these increadibly POS pieces in it's place. Now, the speedo has quit working, and the tach is useless as it's needle bounces around all the time.

Can someone suggest a good replacement for them?

Here's what I have now....

I have a gauge set from a GPz1100 I don't need...but it's in km/h and it has a higher redline than your bike

I thought about going back with some stock gauges, but I kinda dig the look of the one's I have now.

I just don't dig how cheap and useless they are.

Plus, the original wiring was hacked all to hell. I can probably get it right, but it'll be a bear of a job.

www.oldkawman.com might have what you need, he parts out bikes all the time. Also the motorcycle salvage yards would be my next choice.

The problem with salvage units is that the needles are brittle and probably ready to break off.

I have the gauges, wiring harness, and all the electrics (except electronic ignition) off a 1980 KZ750E, if that would help.

The second pic of eBay gauges above is for a 1980 KZ750G, a 750 twin.
