I have an '81 kz750H ltd. I need to know how to remove the tach gear? I have the rocker cover off and I can see the inner portion of the aluminum gear guide spinning freely when i turn it from the outside(i really thought this would be threaded into the head). I have tried grabbing it with vise grips and tapping them with a hammer to see if it is just being stubborn, and no dice. To give you a better idea of what i am dealing with, check out the link below. The guys at Z1 sent it too me. I am assuming that the part in the link, #12, is the same for my model year as it is for the 1977 ( the model in the think).
