Speedo/Tach Backlight (LED, yes no?)
03 Feb 2011 10:28
I was reading through some threads about bulb replacement and some folks chose to go the LED route for their bulbs and some don't because they say it's not bright enough to light up the display properly.
Any advice? I've seen some pics and it does look a little dark. But I do like the idea that I can alter the color from standard white.
Anyone have a few pics of a LED replacement that they are happy with?

A forum member "Otakar" has changed all the bulbs on his bike to either LED for instrument lighting or HID for the headlight.

You can get LEDs with varying brightness and angle of light. You can also add more LEDs and alter how much current you give them with resistors to get the brightness you want.
