Name this stator

Can anyone tell me what this stator is off i was sent this instead off a 76 kz 900 stator its in a Kawasaki parts bag thanks

Could be a 1977 650. Can you get a photo of the other side?

If it's a 77 650, it should have three allen head bolts or screws in the center of the cover.

Yikes! Didn't expect to see that! Definitley NOT a stock '77 KZ650.
Honda's use slip-ring field coils, but I never saw any Honda's using that thing. Could it be aftermarket?

COuld be anything i have no clue to what it is from i was sent this instead of a stator for my 900 so i'm trying to figure out what this is off so i can resell it. Thanks for the help if anyone else has an idea to what this is from feel free to tell me

You know what, I think that is from an older two-stroke (older than the KZ's, that is). They used slip-ring field coils and that black box on top looks like a CDI pickup for ignition. With one pickup, that would hint to a single-cylinder two-stroke, or two-cylinder four-stroke.
Has anyone seen an alternator/ignition for a G3, G4, or G5?
