Is it possible to use harley style hand controls

I've recently received a 1977 KZ650 as wedding present and I'm looking to finish the custom work that was begun on it by the previous owner. It's already been boobed, chopped, and stretched. I want to completely rework the wiring, and I was wondering if I could use the all black controls, switches, and housing from a Sportster. I thought that as long as I use the proper diameter bars, then all else shouldn 't matter, since I'll have to 'make' my own harness anyway.

I dont see why not from ans electrical standpoint, the diameter of the bars is different could ream out the handlebar mounts on ur triple tree, its only a 1/8 different, I've seen people use sporty parts on metric bobbers many times

BTW I got a set of aftermarkets if u want em, I'll make u a deal, got some other items as well left over from my chopper project ;)
