Stray wire...battery or earth?

Hi, bit new to all this. Sure you can help. I've been doing some light resto work on my kz750csr twin '82. Made a schoolboy error on the wiring. Just got to replace battery but have a yellow wire with a black stripe and an eye connector left over. It comes out of the main harness, just above the airbox but I can't remember where it goes. It's just the right length/position/connector to fit the batt. + terminal but can't be sure  Getting to the point where I want to fire her up now and spring is around the corner!!

If you mean Black with a yellow stripe, then it should be a ground/ earth wire.

Thanks, but the black and yellow is on the negative side. This is yellow with a black stripe...book says yellow is ignition (doesn't say yellow and black..grrrr!)

Check the wiring diagram in Filebase under KZ Information.

Looks to be an negative ground terminal available for an electrical accessory.

Good Fortune! :)
