On my '80 750 LTDh,the red brake warning(out) light comes on whenever I apply the front or rear brake. The light works fine.I'm using a standard "1157" clear bulb.Any thoughts? Thanks.

That's normal. The owner's manual has other information regarding it.

If just riding along and happen to notice the light is blinking --- the blinking is a warning that the brake light will not shine upon application of brakes.

It's important for the rider to be aware that the brake light isn't functioning when braking.

The malfunction could result from a burned out bulb filament or a loose or corroded wiring connector or other reason.

The indicator light itself shines steady during brake application to indicate that it's functioning.

Good Fortune! :)
