wiring harness routing

hey guys, I'm redoing my '78 LTD and want to make sure when it goes back together that I have the wiring and cables routed correctly. I can tell that it was not properly routed by the previous owner when he did some ratty wiring repairs. The clutch and throttle cables were likely routed incorrectly also. I've searched for pictures of the routing and can find none. I'm sure someone here knows where to find it or has pictures of their own that they could share with me. Thanks in advance.

Mine is not an ltd but thw wiring is pretty comparable.I just laid the harness across the top of the frame making sure the coil leads reached and worked down from ther.mine comes down the underneath side of top rail then drops down inside frame on rear brake side.from ther it lays across the cross brace in front of battery t ostarter solenoid and rectifier.from ther its just the rear portion of the harness to the tail turn and brake lights.hope this helps you.

I've got a '78 LTD and would be happy to take some pictures for you as I tear it down this winter for a paint job and engine work. If you have specific questions, ask away, I'll answer what I can til the bike goes on the table.

thank you tom. there are no specific questions just want to see where everything was supposed to be so the harness doesn't look like it's in wrong. I know no one will ever see it, but I'll know and that will not be good. I think my OCD would go ape shit if I knew it was in there wrong.

I'll get my bike on the rack in the next few days and remove the fairing and covers for pics. This is a good excuse to get me started ahead of schedule.;-)
