.027-.031 thousands. It this right. Most of my bikes use
.012-.016 thousands. I am dealing with a weak spark at the plugs and hard starting especially in cold weather below
32 degrees.

Weak plug spark may result from several maladies besides points issues. The manual I have for my twin say the point gap is .7-.8mm. When I use the conversion factor of.03937 I get a gap of
.027-.031 thousands. It this right. Most of my bikes use
.012-.016 thousands. I am dealing with a weak spark at the plugs and hard starting especially in cold weather below

Would first measure voltage being received at the coil primary terminal, which is supposed to match battery voltage.
Such voltage measurement will help indicate where to look next toward identifying cause underlying the weak plug spark.
Good Fortune!

I recall the point gap for my 750 twin is 0.3 to 0.4mm which is .012" to .016" (nominal .014"). The 0.7 to 0.8mm spec is for spark plug gap.The manual I have for my twin say the point gap is .7-.8mm. When I use the conversion factor of.03937 I get a gap of
