Dyna3 Ignition on '81 GPZ 1100 - Done was created by GPZ1100_Rider
Hi:

After putting Dyna green coils on my bike because of one bad original coil, I was still plagued with what may have been continued ignition system issues. So I replaced the old ignition with a new Dyna3 ignition. Anyways, I got rid of the 30 year old parts.

The install was pretty straight forward. The hardest part was finding a place for the module. There's not a whole lot of space under the seat on my bike, and I didn't want to put it under the tank above the fuel injectors (heat radiation from the engine, and maybe the module screwing with the signals to the fuel injectors).

I also put a relay in to supply voltage directly from the starter relay to the coils and module. I attached the relay to the side of the Air Flow Meter. I just have to shorten the wires, and do a good job of weather-proofing the connections on the relay.

Happy, happy.
