84 kz550 Tachometer cable

Where does the tachometer cable connect to the engine. Mine was missing a cable when I bought it.

On the bigger 4's, a fitting is on the exhaust side the cable fastens into, I'd imagine your bike is similar. I'd check with either www.babbitsonline.com or www.bikebandit.com for a parts diagram.

By 1984, many KZ550's used electronic tachs. What model is it?
1981 KZ550 D1 gpz.
