We used to use that expression for a meth addict that lived on our street!
Anyways... They're wiggin cause thery're old. The magnets/mechanicals inside have worn past the point of being able to properly report to the needle.

My tach and speedo do fine until i'm going around 70. Then they both begin to give outrageous readings of constant fluctuations. It's really annoying because I can't tell what RPM i'm at after around 6-7. They just start wigging out. Anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks a bunch
If mechanical meters, might help to clean and lube cables.

if you have ever just added washers to tighten up the mounts remove them and replace the foam cushion between the mount and the gauges
Thanks to another member who suggested using a computer mouse pad.

That sounds like a great idea! I'll have to try that the next time I'm wrenching on mine. My guages flake out at speed too.
