KZ1100A Tripmeter Repair

Has any one tried to repair a tripmeter on a KZ1100A?(This is the set-up where the tripmeter and odo are a seperate component from the speedo and tacho) My 1982 KZ1100A2's tripmeter has always been hit or miss:huh: (have only had the bike for a couple of months).What I mean by that is that sometimes when you depress the re-set button it would go 000.0,but a lot of times it would not(sometimes it would change from whatever number it was to a different number-but NOT 000.0,and other times it would do nothing):S .Well it finally is doing nothing at all-all the time.:blink: HELP!I use my tripmeter for a lot of different things,and am considering trying to take it apart annd check it out.Does anyone know anything about these,or have any information that would help me on this?THANKS TO EVERYONE!TomDi

I've got 2 bikes with these. I would check Ebay for a Odometer, they go pretty cheap. It's the Speedo that draws the dollars. Rare to see the Speedo for less than a $100. But the Odo, I've seen for $20-50 range.
