KZ305 regulator/rectifier

Does anyone know whether a KZ1000 regulator (SH-532-12) will work on my KZ/GPz 305 which uses a SH-552-12 regulator ? The wiring is just about the same on the two but I have no idea about the internal working. Please help fellas ! kzrider.com/components/com_kunena/templa.../emoticons/smile.png
