I got a set of these Accel Super Coils off Ebay, Installed them and the 82 1000LTD runs even better! Smoother, and after a 100mi ride the plugs are cleaner. Played with the plug gap a little too, set to .045" gap. Used my HEI spark tester for a check against the working but stock coils, the Accel coils are quite noticeably brighter blue when jumping this gap. The FSM says a 7mm gap for testing stock coils, the HEI tester is pretty close to this.
Bottom line is that they were worth the money, as I thought, as I have used quite a bit of their products in the past.
So I don't know if anyone on this site would like to offer on the used OEM Electronic Ignitor Style coils, I measured 2.6 Ohm's Primary, if so PM me. I'll throw em Ebay soon.
