Safety Switches was created by KB02
Okay, I tried to get the bike started last night (1980 KZ550c), but no go. Turns out I don't have any spark.
Now, I know about the safety switch on the clutch, but are there any other safety switches that I should know about that would cause it not to spark? The engine cut off switch is working as far as I can tell, but it is possible that there are other gremins that I don't know about. I just want to check for the obvious before I dive into that scarey wiring any further.

Your post didn't give enough info to provide much of an answer. Did the bike turn over using the starter? How did you check for spark? How do you know if the "engine cut off switch" is working if the bike doesn't run? Just a bit of info and I can probably work you through some troubleshooting steps...

Never mind. I was an idiot and missed a connector that was unplugged. We have spark and it's almost ready to start up. ON to another forum with another question.
Thanks for your help.
