Both Coils Die at the Same Time???????? was created by TLH101
Took my bike for a ride a few days ago, after it had been setting for a few weeks. Ran pretty rough, and #1 pipe was cool, so I figured I had a stuck float valve in #1. Stopped to mess with it, and carb float is OK, so tried to start it, and now no fire on any cylinder. I have power to the coils. Primary reads about 4.0-4.1 on both coils, sencondary is open on both.
Is it just a coincedence that they have both gone bad at the same time, or do I need to look for another problem?

Has points ignition. Only about 3-400 miles on the points and condensers. Gaps are correct.
