SO it's me here again to bug you all with my ignorance. I installed a set of clubmans today and when I went to fire it up and test em out, the starter button smoked and the end (where you would press with your thumb) melted... NOW I cant get it started kicking it, and i've tried shorting the starter button wires out to eliminate the switch. Nothing. I still get indicator lights, head light, etc... and no blown fuses..... yes the key is on, yes the kill switch i set to run. Im gonna go play my drums and try to avoid panic.
