When I am coming off throttle sometmes I have a vibration in my tach. It seems that the tachometer is lagging behind
engine rpm. Is that something I can repair?

Have you cleaned and lubed or replaced the cable?

I would just remove the cable (each end unscrews) pull out the center cable from the sheathing (you'll see what I mean with the cable off the bike), wipe it clean with motor oil, put a fairly thin coat of motor oil on it after it's clean, and re-install. It may fix the problem. If the inner cable is frayed or rough, or if the ends are damaged, you may want to replace it. Ed
