is it 'normal' to have all these loose ends in my headlight bucket on my 77 KZ1000?

i know that some of them go to the turn signals which have been removed but beyond that i have no clue.

Someone has put some new ends on a couple, The brown should be Ignition switched B+, the blue should be front running lights, the green is 1 turn signal and grey the other, that's how my newer one is. Some extra wiring is "Factory" on mine, 82, but I don't have a book for yours. Can you use a DVOM or test light to check there functions?

Not unheard of to have an unused connector in the headlight shell.

Thinking green is for left turn signal, and grey for right turn signal.

 Uncertain about the blue connector where it appears that two blue wires feed a single bullet wire. Other members will have better advice.

Wiring diagram shows blue wires to speedometer and to tachometer, but no such unused blue connector.

Good Fortune! :)

You could take the seat lock off and go to a lock smiths, call first for a quote, Maybe $30?
