Does anyone know if I can replace the gauge light bulbs with LED light bulbs? If so, where can I find them?

Thanks

BTW, on a 78 KZ650

Yes and here. I do not have a single incandescent bulb on my bike. They are ALL LED with the exception of my headlight which is HID.

You would have to take one out of your bike and match it. i have no idea what you have in there.

Do I have to take off the headlight to take apart the gauges?

Damnit, it seems tough to do. There are two bigass bolts to take out and the headlamp flexes when I try. BTW i'm in West Omaha near 156th & Dodge.

You can replace the indicator bulbs by unscrewing the plastic piece around the ignition key. To remove the headlight you need to unscrew two screws around the outside of the headlight. After that you can undo the two bolts on the sides. I am not sure how to get to the speedo and tach bulbs...if there are any in there mine don't work.

My 1980 uses a bulb 53 for the dash lights. You might want to check yours first.
