hi
many thanks for taking your photos. i can't make out the actual part. the self cancel unit is like a 3" x 4" rectangle with two lots of wires coming out of it.

OK, another try here, there's a body at stake.
The image below (hopefully, this time) shows the bracket as part number 11034B below, but does not indicate how/where it attaches.
I went out and looked at mine. So far as I can tell, it doesn't have one. Any chance this was optional? Or, discontinued after 1981? The part does list for H2-H4, however.
Kind of looks like it could attach to part 11034A, but that would place it on the left side of the battery box.
And, 11036A looks to be an alternate part, replacing 11034A, perhaps just for this purpose, as an option.

I think you have to start out having a "Distance" sensor, for me that has been on my front wheel and an electric speedo.

OK so then if this is there than they also put in the self cancel, right? And later switched to and electronic speedo, and Odometer on some models.

Hi Angel,
I've (almost)got the same bike that you have- mine's an '82. Just went out and shot this pic. It's been a couple of years since I took the bike down and cleaned everything up, but I seem to remember that this is screwed into a bracket that bolts onto the battery box.
If you need more than that, let me know. I can remove it in a couple of days and get a clearer pic, but right now my garage is so full of my daughter's stuff, I could barely get this picture. She moves back to the university this week so I'll have more room then.
My bike's self-canceler doesn't work, but I think it's due to something in the turn signal switch....it's never been right since I cleaned it. The bike runs great though, so I'm not too worried about using it manually and need to spend more time (and money) on the 900.
Hope this helps

hi link and all the other kz'r!
what a star you're!
Thank you so much for helping me with this.
I've been asking around for 1 year and even asked kawasaki!
They weren't interested and said 'buy a newer bike!'
thanks again to everyone!

Mine looks just like the 82 model that LINK14 posted. I found it when I was trying to change my flasher relay. Does anyone know what the connector to the right and a bit lower than the Self Canceler is hooked to? Mine was unplugged last night, yet everything has seemed to be working fine.

In the picture posted, it is the smaller white connector on the right that is oriented mostly vertically. When I pulled my side cover off, it was unplugged, and apparently, I have been riding like that.
