Can I use a "seal" or "spillproof" 12v bat. instead of a capacitor for my 77' kz650?

I just got a glass mat battery off of ebay:

I've been very pleased with it, and I assume this is the "spillproof" battery you may be looking for, since it uses no acid.

Gel cell types are also spill proof.
