Yes. Condensor is the older term that seems to have lived on in automotive circles. Capacitor more accurately describes the function of the device as it stores electrical energy. Capacitor is used in electronics these days so I tend to use it instead.

BTW, congrats on getting your problem sorted out and getting your spark back.
