GM HEI mod?
09 Jul 2010 17:28
I've adopted the HEI ignition module to several Mopars and Fords, and now I'm thinking of doing it to my '82 KZ750-4. My only question on this would be how to wire the stock double pickups to the module. The cars I've done all had single pickups. I'm sure it's simple but anyone have any advice?

You'll need two (2) modules. Loudhvx has avery good write up on how to wire it and the parts needed(some diodes, and resistor.
He has done it to his GPz550 and has rode it this way for many years. It will work on the bikes with the mechanical ignition advancers only.

I'm thinking of doing the same mod to my bikes ignition. I believe it's cheaper than buying a IC Igniter from Kawasaki.
