Figured out everything now, even the electric start almost works all the time, this bike is a complete new machine. Fires right up with starting fluid to boot!
One thing bugging me, in the headlight there is one brown with white stripe wire hanging out in there, no end just stripped and hanging out. I have no front signals yet but those are all accounted for including the ground. Anyone have a clue?

I haven't a diagram for your bike, but sound like it would be power, from ignition switched source, but to what? Have you checked it with a meter or test light? If not needed you could just secure it and make sure its protected from shorting.

Some bikes have extra wires as they are used in several models. To see if the wire is "Hot", get a multimeter, with the RED positive(+) probe on the wire and the BLACK negative(-) probe on a good ground.
If no voltage, try again as the wire may be "switched", that is, it turns on with the ignition switch.

yep. ive seen that alot..first get everything else working right, which it sounds like you did. then see if the wire is hot...if it is and everyting seems to be working fine tape the wire off so it doesnt short out. you should be good...it might be an AUX wire.
An extra precautuion would be to probe the wire with a test light or multimeter, then mess with your hand controls to see if anything changes when you switch things from on to off ect. Just to be sure. it will only take a few seconds.

basketcase, wiring diagram from the file database under KZ Information tab at the top of the page.
This looks the same as the wiring diagram in the factory manual I have for the U.S. models.
The brown/white wire in the headlight bucket appears to be an additional running light tap (same as blue wire to both front running lights and all gauge lights).
Tape it off so it does not ground out and you should be good to go.
Good luck,
Jim

My FSM schematic also shows the brown/white wire ends and connects to nothing. It does tap off the running light wire. Maybe it runs the blue lights on the front of the cop bikes.
