I followed the diagram and took the wires off the flasher. There is my switched power, turn signal, and just added the ground. It works fine.
Thanks for the advice! :P

Mine worked fine as long as the bike was not running. As soon as I go the engine RPM over 1500 they started to flash to the point of flickering. This was when my charging voltage was approaching 14V. But also my dash indicators are also LED. If yours are still regular light bulbs than you put a MUCH higher load on the system and this will be enough to off set it. The light bulbs in a standard dash is 3.5W and it is like putting a 30 Ohm resistor in the system. The dash indicator bulb consumes .3A where my indicators consume .025A This will make the difference on the load to the circuit in the flasher. The thing is, that I do not have a SINGLE incandescent bulb on the bike. Everything on my bike is either LED or HID.

They have a really cheap electronic flasher unit my cousin bought from Parts Source that is 2 prong.

It works at all voltage levels above 12 and blinks fine from about 5W and up. Tested with a current box.

My complete flasher circuit only draws 300mA that's 3.6W The two prong Flasher from "superbrightleds" works beautifully. It is the three prong that do not like the 14V. With the bike not running it works just fine.

Pretty much the same specs Otto....

The only thing I can think of is regarding the operating & switched voltages, you at the spec'd operating Vdc?

"As soon as I go the engine RPM over 1500 they started to flash to the point of flickering. "....

Under this 1500 rpm, what is your voltage measurement?
My guess at this point is as defined previously, under voltage conditions....

Same time, you have yours working so good to go.... ;)

I just did some research. What is required is what they call a "no load flasher" I bought four of the three prong flashers and they all do the same thing. I'm using it on my "daytime LED driving light" This gives me my osculating headlight effect. It actually works quite well for that. The problem is only when I slow down and I'm at idle. Than it's flashing like a turn signal. When I'm riding it flickers.

Re: Found an LED flasher that works- here it is.

I started a thread a while ago trying to find an easily
obtainable LED flasher that actually works like it is
supposed to. I have a full set of LED signals on my 1977 KZ1000 and suffered for too long with "manual signals" due to the fact that I couldn't find a flasher that would operate them. I didn't want to order one online since you don't really know what you're getting and probably couldn't return it when you find out it doesn't work. After a little trial and error, I found one. It works at the same speed no matter what and the flash rate is pretty much perfect, in my opinion. My local Napa store was able to get in a day, for about $15.00. The Napa part number is GRO 44891.
So there ya go! Good luck.

I switched my stock signals for some more modern signals, but they are still a bulb, not and LED. When I put the first pair on, the signals would flash slowly at idle, and normally at speed. Now with both sets replaced, they just come on steady. Would one of these LED specific relays work for my newer bulb lights?

Well, I bought the EP35 flasher last night and installed it in place of the stock silver can. My signals now work, at least with just the key on. I didn't have time to move it outside and actually start it up, but I assume it will still be ok. Wow that relay is loud.

I am curious as to why my Hazard Flashers still work with the original relay, yet my turn signals did not. Maybe all 4 lights pulls enough current? I don't know.

I am looking to replace my incandescent brake lights on a trailer with LED lights. My incandescent lights burn out often. I'm afraid there is a short. Would a short damage the LED lights too?
