Timing Marks Help was created by Clearwind
Hey guys,

I've got a question about the timing marks and need help understanding what each of the marks is for. The following 2 pictures show the marks that I am talking about. Going clockwise around the "Mark wheel??" I see a T with a mark directly to it's right, followed by an F with a mark to its right, then 2 3 with 2 marks imediatly after it.

Could someone explain what the marks indicate?

The T mark is TopDeadCentre.

The F mark is the Fire mark (where the plug fires @ 10 degrees advanced @ idle.)

The 2 small marks afterwards are the full advance indicators. For cylinders 2 + 3 in this case.

With the engine above 4000rpm (full advance),the case mark should fall between those two marks, with a timing light.

Cheers.
