I've figured out all the controls and switches etc. (I think) on the bike except for one switch. The one in the photo with the arrow pointing to it. It's on the left hand controls. All the labels have worn off to the point I can't read any of them. :pinch:

I have a repair manual but haven't found anything in it either.

Oh! and it doesn't do anything. Key on, key off, engine off, engine running, doesn't matter, it doesn't do anything that I can tell. Thought it might have something to do with the headlight or turn signals. The headlight and taillight are on whenever the key is on, also. I assume this is normal for an '83 bike tho'. Any help would be great!:P

Man are those switches ever different than mine.

Could it be the ejector seat?

What's it do? I have the lights high low beam switch, horn and Hazard switch on the left control.

My guess is hazard lights switch - your bike should have two blinker relays, you sure they´re both there?

NB: The blinker relays have different part#s (27002-011/27002-016), I´m not sure what the difference is (if any).

Yep, that is your 4 way flasher. Same switches as mine.

I'll look for the hazard relay connectors. It only has the turn signal relay. Which would explain why it didn't do anything.:P

At least now I know what to look at to get it working again. Thanks everyone!

Nitrous would fun! :woohoo: But way to dangerous for my personality!

The 82 KZ1000 CSR has the turn signal flasher (relay) on one side of the bike, and the hazard flasher on the other side of the bike.
Maybe yours is similar?

The switches are identical on my '83 KZ750F. That switch is for hazards.
