84 zn750 horn not working

Hi need some assistance with my horn not working.

Test I did:

Tested horn on other kz750 works fine.
Replaced all fuses,
replaced handle bar switch components ( taken from another kz750)
replace entire Fuse Box harness from another kz750


When i turn the ignition switch if I meter the horn wires I get power. but how does the Horn button work does is provide a Ground?



These are the things I notice that could help.


the two front signal light work, but when key is on only the left signal light driving light comes on not the right one.

The headlight only comes on if the bike is started/runs.( not when turning the key)



Now I assume I have the check the entire harness for a short?

Sounds like your wiring is going crap.

Shorts/bad connectors or just rott.

ok so i cut "near the control unit"

the Yellow,black And White black wires if I put them together the horn works...so my issue is with the horn button..

Took it all apart and i see its pretty dirty ...will try and clean those contacts.. seems like a pain..

both my control modules have big dirt..go figure...
