Just thought i'd drop a line, I have a couple im lookin at on EBAY, but thought maybe if someone on here was parting out, it couldn't hurt to ask.....

Many KZ's have the same igniters, but the only differences may be the connectors or the length of the wires.
Generally you want one from 81 to 83 models with the first generation igniters which were mechanical advance. As long as the box looks the same on the outside, it should be identical on the inside.
You can also make one if you are the type to build things.

Thanks, I think that'd be a tad over my head, ha!ha! but it'd be right up my mechanics alley, i'll pass along the link!
When we took the old igniter off he said he was so tempted to tear it apart and see if he could fix it. I haven't talked to him in a few days, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he's already pulled it apart.

If interested, replacing stock ignition with Dyna-S would eliminate the igniter.
And it's a diy installation.
Click > Dyna-S from Z1E
Click > Dyna green 3 ohm coils from Z1E
