remove the nut and washer holding it on,spray the pivot down with zep 45 and let it soak
Yes, and if that doesn't get it you may need to put some heat to it.

ok im starting to think im never going to get on the road here i have a 1982 kz 1100 A its running great but now i have a big problem my rear brake pedal is siezed solid ive takin the whole assembly apart and every thing is working but the pivot is seized solid ive done every thing i can think of short of dinomite to get it to move does anyone know where i can buy a new or used one in southern ontario for a fair to decent price? or does anyone have a simalar parts bike in that area for sale?
Just to confirm it's part 43004 that's frozen?

Muratic acid dissolves rust and may be rinsed away with water.
Would soak part in water/soda solution to neutralize before re-using the part (freshly well-lubed, of course).
Wear goggles and rubber gloves, and be very careful while dealing with the acid.
When finished, dispose of acid by pouring it into a bucket of water (never add water to acid), then add some soda to the solution before dumping.
