Blinkers Have Long Delay Before Flashing was created by DoubleDub
Anyone have any thoughts on why my blinkers have a long delay before they start flashing? I have new EMGO flashers from Z1E in the bike (and a second set that I ordered on accident) and they blink fine, just too long of a delay prior to the first flash. I thought it might have something to do with the "beeper" being disconnected, but even with the noisy piece of junk connected the delay still exists.

Don't know why they would act differently, first flash to second. But I'd suggest that you check the grounding to make sure the head flex hasn't over worked a wire.

Others have reported that modern bulbs don't work right w the old stock turn signal flasher. One fix is to get a heavy duty trailer flasher from the auto parts store - there should be one that's the same size n stuff. There might be a digital unit that can be used as well.

Thanks guys. I'll check my connections first...my hazards only flash the right side so I need to do some wiring troubleshooting anyhow.
