turn signals was created by mastermudd
the previous owner removed the turn signals from my 82 kz1100a (why do people do that?) he'd also replaced the brake/tail light with a skull and what looked like a marker light from a trk. got the tail light replaced and now actually have brake lights, but can't seem to find the right combo of wires to get the turn signals working. could someone send me a picture of the wiring diag for the turn signals?

After clicking the link shown below,
scroll down to and click on either KZ1100-D1 or B2,
click on either model,
and download wiring diagram,
either of which is perhaps close enough to help.

Click > kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_docman&...w&gid=102&Itemid=108

This link is found by pointing to KZ Filebase in the green ribbon toward top of screen, then clicking Filebase in the dropdown menu, then clicking 1982.

Good Fortune! :)

I believe unless the model is a Police bike, the Kz1000 and Kz1100's have basically the same wiring digrams.

If you want front running lights in the turn signals, you'll have to get them with a dual filiment socket and light bulbs. www.kandstech.com/index.php?page=KawasakiTurnapp is a turn signal supplier.

I'll use my 82 GPz1100 B2 as a guide:

The RIGHT FRONT turn signal will have 3 wires:
1.

I believe the Kz1000's and Kz1100's wiring is about the same, so I'll use my 82GPz1100 B2 as a guide.

The RIGHT FRONT will have 3 wires:
1.A GRAY wire, the turn signal circuit
2.A BLUE wire, the running light circuit
3.A BLACK with YELLOW stripe, the ground circuit.

The LEFT FRONT will have again, 3 wires:
1.A GREEN wire, the turn signal circuit.
2.A BLUE wire, the running light circuit.
3.A BLACK with YELLOW stripe, again the ground circuit.

These bikes do not have running lights in the rear turn signals(unless front signals are bought and installed in the rear along with additional wiring).

If replacement signals are needed, I'd go here:

Above actions should result in appearance of a new screen which shows a list of model years (dates).

May need to scroll down a little to see the dates.

Click on desired model year.
Screen again changes.

Click on desired model.
Screen again changes.

Proceed with whatever download as desired.

Normally the Kawasaki factory service manuals have wiring diagrams. You may want to get one if you don't already have one (even if someone here can point yu to a diagram). They're available on eBay and contain tons of other useful info. Well worth the $$. Ed
