A few years ago I updated my fuse block...and I am not very satisfied with it. So I am thinking about going with this one

I've never had the blue sea, but a lot of fellow bmw guys have used them. I have a Centech on mine r1150r, its okay, has more space for wires than fuses. :S

Eastern Beaver ( www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Products/Fuseboxes/fuseboxes.html )

I have the power centre 8 on my KZ1000. Its well made, comes with a nice wiring harness etc. He's located in Japan, and shipping is quite reasonable. If I had to repurchase, I'd get the PC8 over the Centech.:)

Those are both very nice. I have been searching for a good fuse block for a long time. Unfortunately on a bike I would prefer a block that has solder connections and not screw connections. I think that I may have found one but I don't know yet. I will post results if I am satisfied.

The other problem I have with these also, is that they all have a common buss. In our bikes there are many fuses that require an individual flow threw. This is why I like the Worthco boxes.

The one I like is the #30111

otto that is the style i use on my drag bikes. they are very well built and i have never had anyproblems with them coming apart under race conditions so i'm sure they would work fine on the street as well the only thing i wish it came with was a water proof cover of some sort.

Fuse And Fuse Holder Designations

1. The older Kawasaki’s use a glass tubed fuse with the designation of AGX 1” long. Most good auto parts stores can get them for you. They are ¼” in diameter.

2. The more common AGC is 1 ¼” long and may not fit the smaller fuse clips. Again, ¼” in diameter.

3. To clean and polish the fuse clips, I use a cotton swab(Q- Tip) and some Brasso metal cleaner or Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. I suppose any good metal polish would work.

4. These fuses can fail internally but look good, only by removing them from the clip and electrically continuity checking with either a self powered test light, or a multimeter set on OHMS can they be determined to be in good shape.

5. A physical inspection of the metal end caps for tightness will tell you if the fuse is serviceable.

6. Most modern motorcycles are now using the automobile “Blade” style fuse with the designation of ATC or ATO.

7. The reduced sized “Mini” Blade style fuse holder uses the ATM size of fuses.

8. If the fuse and fuse holder overheat, it could soften or anneal the grip of the clip, it might require squeezing the clip to restore the tightness.

9. A list of where to purchase “Blade” style fuses and holders:

OH-Mike You are such a honey-pie!!!!  Even though you were in the USAF. I just placed my first order at Del City for four of the eight blade 73805 ATC/ATO holders. That is a fantastic price.

See I am currently using the fuse block in that previous post...and I hate it. It serves its purpose, but mounting it sucks, and it looks very ugly. the previous owner of the bike really rigged things up on the bike, and there are so many things on the bike that do not work because they have not been wired correctly. So i figured If I am going to keep my KZ and invest in it...I might as well make it the best it can be. I rewiring the bike to use the common neg bus that the bluesea fuse block is going to use. First of all the ease of adding accesories, and it will look good. I love KZ and as I collect them...i believe this is a upgrade that I will make. I believe that my stator and Reg/Rec is burned up and out because of poor wiring on the bike. I wish I could update and change the controls too, but I can not find a aftermarket throttle side control.

if you guys want to add a lot of accessories then you should look in to rewiring your bike. If you are having tons of electrical issues I would also say you need to rewire your bike.

I got my fuse blocks from Del City yesterday, so I decided to build one up for my GPZ. I only required five circuits including the main 30A. Since these are eight circuit blocks I decided to give myself an extra circuit just encase I need one in the future. These things are beautiful and smaller than I expected. I removed the two extra remaining terminal positions which gave me enough room to store four spare fuses.
