After you get the points and condensors mounted you should gap them, both sides. After they are gapped you need to get them to fire at the right time. I use a pointed test light for this, I ground the light with the alligater clip then with the key "ON" rotate the 17mm nut with the test light on the points, the light should come on when the marks behind the plate line up. You want it to fire on the F mark and not the T mark.
