Has anyone used an Odyssey pc545 was created by Dave Sloan
Hi Guys, battery had died again and I want to get something powerful and long lasting this time. I have modded the z650 battery box to take a cb14l-a2 battery like the kz1000 and I am looking at trying to use an odyssey pc545 on its side ( I have read they can run like that just not upside down.... Has anyone done this?

yes they should they are a.g.m (absorbed glass mat ) style of battery like what is used in factory buells those batterys are mounted on there sides for space considerations and as far as i'm aware they haven't had any problems with that mounting location.
