blinkers reversed

i had the wires under the tank apart last week to have a gusset welded on.
now the blinkers on the dash flash on the apposite side to the actual blinkers, and 1 dash blinker stays lit solid(doesn't blink).
it would be hard to plug something in incorrectly since the plugs do not interchange?
Have i fried the blinker unit with the welder or something?:ohmy:
I just unplugged the Dyna during the weld.
every thing else seems fine.

Does this sound like a ground issue?:S

When one of my dashlights stays on it is usually a blown bulb in the blinker. But for them to flash opposite is kinda strange. Since you were welding the frame I would trace all grounds and check them out.

Yes, I had the same issue (or very close) with my 650. turned out that the ground was bad. My buddy who solved the issue for me, told me the system was "back feeding." Electrical problems are black magic to me... but wiring up a new ground has fixed everything.
