First time I put a "excellent condition" used harness on my 77, without taking the time to check the condition of the wires inside the loom, I started her up and was getting ready to check the timing once she got warmed up. Just after being able to turn the choke off and get to a smooth idle I turned to grab my timing light and...wait, what's that smell!?!?!?! That smell was a fairly significant fire burning under my gas tank! Thankfully I keep a fire extinguisher in my garage and it was right there to put the wire fire out before the tank caught and the whole bike burned to the ground. Found some really bad wiring at multiple points throughout that harness (discounting the flash point where the fire started). It looked really clean when I put it on, felt nice and subtle too. But the wiring inside was shit and lit my bike up like the 4th of July.

I have complete wiring from a 77 kz650c. I'm parting it out. See classified ad.
