If an ohmeter shows 400-500 ohms when they are tested, and they fit in the same location (same physical distance from the rotor), I see no reason why they shouldn't work.

Good question waterwalker.

I went to kawasaki.com - owner info (lower left) - parts diagrams - motorcycle - 1982 etc etc and looked at igntion parts.

Click on the part# and in the pop up box click on the little yellow ? mark. This gives a list of other models that part may be found on. Sorry to say that for the pulse coil the list only showed the following

Model (8):
KZ650-H1 (CSR) (1981)
KZ650-H2 (CSR) (1982)
KZ750-E1 (1980)
KZ750-E2 (1981)
KZ750-E3 (1982)
KZ750-H1 (LTD) (1980)
KZ750-H2 (LTD) (1981)
KZ750-H3 (LTD) (1982)

1980 kz750E1, Delkevic exhaust

The 750-4, 650, and 550 all share the same ignition housing on the motor. You can get a set of pickups from these 550 models.

KZ550-A2 (1981)
KZ550-A3 (1982)
KZ550-A4 (1983)
KZ550-C1 (LTD) (1980)
KZ550-C2 (LTD) (1981)
KZ550-C3 (LTD) (1982)
KZ550-C4 (LTD) (1983)
KZ550-D1 (GPz) (1981)
KZ550-F1 (Spectre) (1983)
KZ550-H1 (GPz) (1982)
KZ550-H2 (GPz) (1983)
KZ550-M1 (LTD Shaft) (1983)

The part numbers may differ from the 750, but it's only because the wires are different lengths or the connector may be different.

Just make sure the pickups look the same as yours if you find them on ebay. Pickups from other models will work if they look the same, and they physically fit. There is another type of pulser that doesn't look like these. You can't use those pulsers.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThese may work. You can remove the individual pickups and bolt them onto your timing plate/magnet assembly. The magnets must go back in their original orientation or it won't work.

The 1100 timing plate is larger than the 550/650/750 plate so you have to mount the pickup plate on your old timing plate. (It appears the auction was only for the pickup plate, and not the timing plate or magnets.)

This means taking the magnet assembly apart. Here are the details on the magnet orientation.

How are you certain your old pickups are bad? Just the ohm readings, or did you try it with a different igniter?
