Is the dyna s durable? was created by nads.com
I hooked a dyna s to .5ohm car coils using 3resistors and a battery charger to my bike. Burned out the resistors (they had none)when I was done. The motor popped and didnt run right also. Got more resisors and fried them too. Test light would go dim but not out. Hooked up 650 coils and set up to time it. Pulled a plug for spark timing adjustment. Powered up and the plug started a rapid fire spark that was constant. Tried other coil same thing. SON of a! Burned it out. Went in the house and the computer asks me SON? why does my dyna spark continously when I charge my batt?
Tell me computer mine does that too! Tell me tell me! Cuz yur an idiot. SO I smashed the monitor, slammed the base, turned around and kicked the dog. I grabbed him by the throat held him up and asked dont suppose YOU know why? He quietly squeaked, "Its because the pulses change from high to low triggering the modules". Is that it? He gave me a little nod and I threw him over my shoulder and headed for the garage. Hooked up ready to go and nothing. NO spark no spark no nothing. SON of a! Fried the sucker from beatng it up with resistors that crumble when you touch them, hooking up the power reversed, and twice at that. Now me and dyna arn't gettin along. Far as I'm concerned it's piece of sht. Frickin California crap. Gumball machine electronics. Double check. Triple check. Twice more. Sigh. Damn. 125 bucks again. I would have committed suicide (on some small animal) if I did'nt see the wire. The dyna wire washed smashed flat in the middle of it's length. Cut almost every wire clean through. Got it caught in the kick start- NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH A PACEMAKER! some of us do still kick start are bikes. we know who we are u know who u are. Wired it back together set timing with plug on 4 out to about .25 inches back from the fire mark. Hadn't been run in almost 2 century years. Gave it some gas in each carb, turned on the pet cock and kicked once. Fire in the damn hole son. Let it idle for about 45 sec. Twisted the grip twice real quick and it popped up to around two grand can u say weasel? weasels do not come out when I start my bike. I'm talking about some smooth criminal head porting. Very fine whine here. No ape, no larry caven. They're not even allowed in the garage without ronald reagan masks and fake id's. Now at this point what would you do? Doesn't matter. I knew what I was gonna do. Slammed that throttle wide open and gave it one more for good sense. And ohh the thunder. Damn near caved in my head deafened me all at once. I felt like my head was gong to implode. I think it sucked all the air out of the atmosphere like sucking the air out plastic bag. My brain shrunk and my balls grew. This thing is nuts. It's insane and it fits me perfectly. SO the rush is on. I have alot of respect for that dyna's high rpm control, that was one heck of a difference. Night and day. SO wow! IM HIGH IM HAPPY MY DREAMS ARE ALIVE! While the neigbors are praticing calling 911 i'd like to take this time to thank shell rotella, dyna ignition, mystery motorcycle camshafts, 8dollar dial from harbor bait, norman bates, my blind fold, my biggest hammer, the church goers, the devils advocate , them damn bumble bees in the garage, for dying when it got cold, my ex, for being just that and all the board members who laughed at me. There's nothing that a man can't do when his mind is stimulated. A sound, a feeling a touch. The concsious knowing that one can acheive what the soul desires.

Holy crap.

Smart dog.

Yeah, the Dyna S is pretty durable.

i know a few guys who found that the ignition area would get considerably hotter after installing the Dyna S, so they drill a group of small holes for ventillation. Works pretty good...

Cheers.
