speedo question

ok here is my question, i am in the process of turning my 80 kz750 ltd into a bobber and i am wanting to replace the stock speedometer and tach with a smaller single speedo i have been looking on ebay at them but dont know what will work with my bike, ive seen some that are 2:1 ratio and 1:1 ratio, all i am looking to do is change out the big speedo for a smaller one is it just possible to change the speedo it self any help on this would be greatly appricated

Saw this post this morning and thought someone might have the answer.
I'll take a shot after doing a search here
I seem to remember 2240=60mph from the Old Bike Barn website.
Check out this thread for some interesting info on aftermarket speedos

As for your tach you would remove the cable and then cap where the cable exits the engine. Should be easy enough.
