I am wondering how you remove the rear turn signals (stock) from an '82 KZ440 ltd. It appears as if the light housing is clamped onto the stem with a bolt. I removed the bolt and tried to pull the light off but it didn't budge.

I don't really care if I have to cut the wire because I'm moving the TS to another location. I just don't want to break anything.

Sometimes ya gotta spread the light mount apart. Wedge a small flat blade screwdriver between the light mount ears just enough to get it to give up the hold. GLuck!

I tried that but I was being cautious. Maybe I'll be a little more aggressive with it:woohoo:

I got it off.....and realized I didn't have to remove it. I thought there would be a connector by the bulb but I saw it under the seat after I had removed the housing! Oh well.

With the rear turn signals out of the circuit, the front ones(if you have them) may not flash unless you replace the one in the siver can with a newer electronic one(usually found at auto parts stores).
