I had to buy a new hi/lo switch for my 400, all I could find was a 650 unit, looks like it will work but what is that red button for?? like I said it LOOKS like it will work, anyone know for sure?

If it's off the left side, the red button at the bottom activates the four-way flashers for a hazard warning.

there already is a hazard switch, its the white square at the bottom, this is the red button on the right that isn't attached to the assembly, its just on the end of that blk/wht wire

Bugg, It is doubtful anyone can answer you on the red button... that thing was added and didn't come from Kaw I think. The button most likely is for your horn as I suspect the original horn button died and someone spliced that thing in. The way you check is to open the switchgear and look to see what it is wired to. Only the horn makes sense to me but if someone was... errrr inventive? enough to make this mod, who knows what they were thinking.

the black wire with white tracer is for the horn on a kz650
